What most people ask first

What does it cost?
$8 per square foot, everything included: grinding, crack repair, base coat, your flake blend and the clear topcoat. A 500 square foot 2 car garage runs $4,000. Use the slider above for your size, then get a firm written number at your free estimate. The written price does not change.
How is this different from an epoxy kit?
Box store kits are water based paint applied to unprepared concrete. We diamond grind the slab, repair every crack, and apply commercial polyurea and polyaspartic coatings, the same materials used on showroom and hangar floors. That is why we can put 15 years in writing and they cannot.
Do I need to empty the garage?
The slab needs to be bare before we start. Most customers clear it themselves the evening before and move everything back 24 hours later, onto a much better floor. Want it completely hands off? For $1 per square foot more, our crew moves everything out and puts it all back for you.
How long does it take, and when can I park?
Almost always one day. We arrive in the morning, you can walk on the floor that evening, and park on it in 24 hours. The coating keeps hardening for about a week, so give it a few days before dragging anything heavy like a loaded toolbox across it.
Will it peel when my tires are hot?
No, even in Austin summers. Hot tire pickup happens when coatings sit on top of poorly prepped concrete. Diamond grinding bonds the coating to the slab itself, and the warranty covers it in writing regardless.
What happens at the estimate?
About 20 minutes. We measure your slab, check for cracks and moisture, show you real flake samples, and leave you a firm written number. No pressure and no obligation, whether you book or not.
My slab has cracks and stains. Can you still coat it?
Almost always, yes. Grinding removes the stains and surface damage, every crack gets filled with polymer filler before a drop of coating goes down, and the flake blend hides the repair lines completely. The rare slab that cannot be saved, we tell you at the estimate and you keep your money.
Is it slippery when wet?
Less than bare concrete. The flake adds texture underfoot, and if your garage sees regular water, ask us to broadcast a grip additive into the topcoat. Rain, dripping cars, and washed-down floors are exactly what this system is built for.
How do I clean it?
A dust mop or a leaf blower covers the day to day. Motor oil, brake fluid, and Texas mud wipe up with a paper towel, and a garden hose resets the whole floor. No wax, no resealing, no special products, ever.
What colors can I get?
We bring real coated sample chips to your estimate: clean grays and granite looks, warm earth tones, and bolder custom mixes. You pick the blend from actual samples, not a screen, and we match the base coat to it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Here is the honest answer: Texas does not license this trade at all, so any company waving a "state license" printed it themselves. Judge a floor company on the things that are real. Full liability insurance, with a certificate you can hold. A firm written price. A 15 year warranty in writing. We put all of it in your hands at the estimate, before you owe a dollar.

The Process

One day. Five steps. Done right.

Preparation is 80 percent of a floor that lasts. It is the part the cheap guys skip, and the reason we can put 15 years in writing.

1

Diamond grinding

We grind the empty slab to open the concrete pores. Coatings bond to the stone itself, not to paint or sealer.

2

Crack and spall repair

Every crack is cut, filled with polymer and ground flush. Texas slabs move. We prep for it.

3

Polyurea base coat

A commercial polyurea base goes down in your ground color, spread edge to edge in one continuous pour.

4

Flake broadcast

Your flake blend is thrown by hand into the wet base coat until it reaches full coverage, corner to corner, then scraped smooth once it sets.

5

Polyaspartic clear coat

The layer that does the heavy lifting. A UV stable polyaspartic topcoat locks the flake down and shrugs off hot tires, chemicals, and Texas sun for decades. Park on it in 24 hours.

Why this is not a weekend epoxy kit

You have seen box store epoxy peel up in two Texas summers. Different product, different preparation, different result.

Box store epoxy kit

  • Water based paint with a little epoxy mixed in
  • Applied to unprepared, sealed concrete
  • Peels where hot tires sit
  • Yellows in sunlight within a year
  • No warranty worth the paper
15

Bedrock coating system

  • Commercial grade coatings, 4 times the strength of retail epoxy
  • Diamond ground slab so the coating bonds to the stone
  • No hot tire pickup, rated for Austin heat
  • UV stable topcoat that will not yellow
  • 15 year written warranty, signed before we start
